The main goal of the following thesis is to discuss the basic questions of the complex theme, learner autonomy. There will be arguments emphasized for the importance of autonomy application and transmission of learning strategies with special regard to different learner types in school background. The subject of learner autonomy has gained a special importance within scientific investigations for the last three decades, yet its concepts in practice are very rarely realized.
